What you write in Honest Me stays yours. This page explains what the app keeps, where it keeps it, and what it sends.

Honest Me is not released yet. This page describes how the app is built to handle your data. The complete privacy policy, with the operator's details and your rights, will replace this summary before release.

What you write

Your answers are stored on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, the same place your photos live. They go into the app's private iCloud database, which belongs to your Apple Account.

  • We have no servers. Your answers are never sent to us.
  • We cannot read what you write. Nobody at this company can.
  • No account with us. No login. No email address.
  • Delete everything, from inside the app, at any time.

If iCloud is turned off or unavailable, the app works the same and your answers stay on your iPhone. Your iCloud data is protected by Apple under the iCloud terms and settings of your Apple Account.

Your setup answers

The quick questions you answer while setting up the app are kept in a temporary draft on your iPhone. The draft is deleted when setup ends. What remains is a small summary on your device: which Challenge you picked and the themes your answers pointed to, which the app needs to show your focus and your analysis. It is not synced and not sent anywhere. A name you type during setup and your signature are never stored.

What the app sends to us

The app sends anonymous product analytics through TelemetryDeck, so we can see which parts of the app work and which do not. These are fixed events, such as a day being saved, a question being skipped or the Pro screen being shown. They can include which Challenge was started and which day of it you are on. Lengths of text are only ever sent as rough ranges.

These events never contain what you write. Not an answer, not a word of one, and nothing from your setup answers.

The analytics service adds technical details to each event, such as app and system version, device model, language, region and a hashed device identifier. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across apps or websites.

Reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No reminder names your Challenge, and no question ever appears on your lock screen.

Purchases

Honest Me Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app asks the App Store on your iPhone whether you have Pro; we do not keep a record of it.

Deleting everything

In the app, Settings has Delete everything. It removes your answers and progress from your iPhone and from your iCloud, and resets the anonymous identifier the app uses. It cannot be undone. It does not cancel a subscription; you manage that in your App Store account.

This website

honestme.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Everything on it is loaded from this site; nothing comes from other companies' servers. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site from abuse.

The sample question on the home page runs entirely in your browser. What you type there is not saved and not sent anywhere, and it is gone when you leave or reload the page.
